GROUND 3 – MEDICALLY AND MENTALLY INCAPACITATED
FNPF members can withdraw their savings and receive a lump sum or pension in case he/she is permanently incapacitated. The member has six choices from which to choose the type of financial plan that suits him/her in the circumstance he/she is in. (View the Pension Booklet to find out more). Most cases of incapacity are caused by human error or accidents, whether in the work place, or on the road, or some form of illness. For a member's career to be suddenly put to a halt because of incapacity can be an unnerving and heartrending experience. The person has to come to terms with a completely new chapter in life. One of the crucial ones he has to face is his/her financial well being from that point in time. This is one of the fundamental purposes of the FNPF - to provide financial security when a member is incapacitated.
Where the application is made on the ground that the member is physically or mentally incapacitated from ever engaging in any further employment, the member shall forward a certificate in the appropriate form signed by a medical practitioner
