The primary objective of the investment division is to maximize long term investment returns, subject to constraints imposed to contain fluctuations in returns over shorter term periods to ensure an appropriate balance between risk and return.

Members bear the investment risk and reap the rewards in respect of returns credited to their accounts. Fluctuations in investment returns directly affect benefits accruing to members.

The actual rate that is credited to members’ accounts for each year will be determined by the Board having regard to the investment income on the Fund’s assets after expenses.
