Outsourcing of Member Statement Processing
28 April 2011

The Fiji National Provident Fund and Post Fiji Limited today signed a Memorandum of Agreement on the outsourcing of member statements processing.

The Agreement is a result of the review of the Fund’s business processes, as a result of current reforms, to streamline and improve service delivery to members.

The new arrangement will see Post Fiji printing, processing and posting FNPF member statements. This was a task that used to be done in-house in the past.

Fund CEO Mr Aisake Taito said MOA signifies a new business relationship with Post Fiji Limited that focuses on using each other’s strength to derive mutual benefits.

What used to take 6 weeks in the past, will now take less than 48 hours,” Mr Taito said.

Post Fiji Limited’s state-of-the-art Smartmail technology allows for the 160,000 member statements to be printed and packed in less than 9 hours and delivered to members within 24 hours.

“Apart from the benefit to the Fund through efficiency gains, the new service will ensure member statements are also made available upon request through electronic delivery systems like emails.”

Mr Taito added that the Fund’s IT upgrade project would ensure future enhancement to the member statement including on-line access to facilitate interactive web-based services.

The Fund will continue to seek partnership opportunities in the areas of its business where members could benefit through the delivery of excellent services.
