The Fiji National Provident Fund has warned its members to beware of people demanding money for services rendered or for its application forms.

The only fee charged by FNPF is those received at its branches and agencies where receipts are issued from its cashiers.

The FNPF warning is in response to a complaint received alleging that non-FNPF officers are selling FNPF Voluntary Forms for $20 each to rural villagers.

All FNPF application forms can be obtained free of charge from any of its offices or from its website www.myfnpf.com.fj.

Fund Chief Executive Officer, Mr Aisake Taito said FNPF staff are prohibited from gaining financially or otherwise for serving its members.

“All money paid to FNPF must be made at the cashiers only. Additionally, we do not have agents operating on our behalf.

“Members must ensure that all monies paid must be receipted with the official FNPF receipt,” Mr Taito advised.

He also clarified that there are no extra charges for obtaining the new FNPF Membership Card.

“If members return their old FNPF cards they will be issued a new card for free. However, those who have misplaced their cards will need to pay $3 for a replacement card,” Mr Taito said.

He stressed that there is no penalty fee or deadline imposed for the issuance of the new cards.
